Amy, Rick, Mason and Alyssa are here for the weekend. Last night we played games but the kids were up bright and early to buck and stack hay bales.

Canning

Inge and I got together the other day to can cherries. We ended up with 39 pints. Yum yum!! One didn't seal so Zane got to sample them before winter. He loved them!

Healing

The doctor gave Zane permission to watch his summer league basketball team's final game last night if he felt up to going. He felt good enough to go and sat on the bench cheering the team on. He was a little sore last night when we got home but must be feeling better today because as I type this post, he is singing at the top of his lungs!

Surgery

Zane had his surgery at 7:30 AM on Thursday. It lasted over 6 hours. He ended up staying 2 nights in the hospital and came home this afternoon.

On the way to check in.

Haircut Time

It was time for everyone to get a haircut in our house this week! This should get us by until just before school starts.

We have moved past the upper 90 degree weather and are at seasonal temps of lower to mid 80s. This has been perfect weather!

It's a busy week getting ready for surgery on Thursday!

4th of July

We spent the afternoon at the river with our family and friends swimming, BBQing, tubing and red neck slip n' sliding! It was a fun afternoon and the weather was perfect - in the mid 80s.

Baby It's Hot Outside

Today is the third day in a row with the temperature hitting the upper 90's. This is just a little too hot for me. Even our 4 legged friends are finding ways to cool off - playing in their pool, running in the hay field, and romping in the creek!!
