Deer Season

It's been a while since I posted. Life is crazy busy with school! I absolutely love teaching Kindergarten!!

It's fall deer season again. Grandpa came up here for opening day but left before Rick shot his deer. He got his 3x3 this late afternoon but his cell phone was dead so no pictures from the field. Bailee took this shot tonight using my iPhone!

Lincoln Count Fair 2013

Zane decided to show Kimble the goat for the Lincoln County Fair this year. It's one of the species he hasn't shown before. This was a learning curve for him. Fitting the goat i.e. shaving it correctly was something he wasn't sure how to do. As you can see from these photos, he definitely fitted his own goat all by himself. We are proud if him. He earned a blue in market and a blue in fitting and showing! Way to go, Bud! We are proud of you!!

Yellowstone

I was lucky enough to get to go to MT to visit my photography friends. We are on a 4 day/3 night trip to Yellowstone. We are staying in Big Sky but will take day trips through the Park. I hope I get a good picture or two! Everyone I am with are fantastic photographers and then there is me. I'm taking my camera manual to flip through to help me take good photos. Xing my fingers that I accidentally get a few good shots at Yellowstone.

Bucking and Stacking Hay

Amy, Rick, Mason and Alyssa are here for the weekend. Last night we played games but the kids were up bright and early to buck and stack hay bales.

Canning

Inge and I got together the other day to can cherries. We ended up with 39 pints. Yum yum!! One didn't seal so Zane got to sample them before winter. He loved them!

Healing

The doctor gave Zane permission to watch his summer league basketball team's final game last night if he felt up to going. He felt good enough to go and sat on the bench cheering the team on. He was a little sore last night when we got home but must be feeling better today because as I type this post, he is singing at the top of his lungs!
